Edison2..."The Very Light car"

Oliver Kuttner, Owner & CEO of Edison 2, has been the force behind Lynchburg's downtown revitalization...and now, it seems, is the driving force (no pun?) behind the "Very Light Car", Edison 2's sustainable car project. Kuttner, a real estate developer, first made a name for himself in Charlottesville, overseeing projects in downtown C-Ville like The Terraces and The Glass Building during the late 90's & early 2000's before breathing life into Lynchburg's downtown horizon.

E2's offices and assembly facility are in a formerly abandoned 360,000 sq ft. Lynchburg textile factory downtown and the Very Light car was recently entered into Progressive Automotive's "X-Prize" competition. Now, neither Anna or myself have yet to see the VLC on the streets of Lynchburg. Aside from the E2 team, Congressman Tom Perriello is one of very few to actually sit in, let alone see this magnificent ride.

Is less really more? The VLC isn't a hybrid or electric...this thing is just plain light.
Only time will tell, but I'm eager to see what's next from E2.
