The Origin of the Pink Ninja
We headed to Charlotte last Wednesday so that the ladies (me, Mom, Kat and the fairy godmothers Penny and Laura) could go to the James Taylor and Carole King reunion concert. Kat threw a little pre-party at her place (with fantastic gorganzola miniburgers.) She also started serving up watermelon mojitos. Someone asked what they were called and we decided that "watermelon mojito" just didn't do the juicy goodness justice. So Kat spontaneously quipped, "Pink Ninja!" Needless to say, it stuck. And will be a drink of choice in the Monsteri household for many years.
(We couldn't decide whether, after a few, you feel like you've been attacked by a ninja? Or if after a few, you actually BECOME a ninja? I prefer the latter.)
Partly inspired by our new favorite blog, Hyperbole and a Half, and partly because we just didn't get the camera out last Wednesday, we decided to draw this little picture. Just in case you, dear readers, were inspired to make your own Pink Ninja tonight after a long day at work. Careful...they'll sneak up on you!
